About Mel Merlotti (they/them)

Mel Merlotti is a Licensed Professional Counselor and holds an MEd in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Graduate Certificate in Social Justice in Education. Their approach is person-centered with the belief that clients want to have positive change in their lives and have the agency to make those changes. Mel pulls from several different evidence-based practices to help tailor the session to the client’s needs. They are trained in Level 1 Internal Family Systems and can incorporate this technique into the session. They also focus on the mind-body connection and mindfulness techniques with clients. Mel is proudly sex positive in their approach to therapy, especially dealing with relationships and identity.

Mel works with adults 18 and older in individual therapy. They enjoy working with diverse populations and are accustomed to providing culturally sensitive services for people from a variety of backgrounds with a wide array of concerns. Mel is particularly skilled in working with:
